Having my art studio at home has been super sweet. I couldn't be more thankful for Jason finding this amazing space that's big enough for a separate studio room. It was far from easy...but oh so worth it.
Here's a side by side "before and after".
Finding motivation to paint this time has been difficult. I'm having trouble letting go and experimenting. Although for holiday gifts I messed around with some gold leaf and I really dug the results. I think I need to play with that further.
I have also been layering in some shimmer metallic acrylics in my landscapes. It's more subtle than the gold leaf - you can only see it at an angle. I like that it sneaks up on you a bit.
...I think I see a collection emerging.
